Each Modern Mat Method class includes our 5 fundamental parts: Core, Arms, Glutes, Quads, and Mind-Body Connection. Combining Joseph Pilates’ Classical Series, as well as Modern Pilates, MMM strives to provide a fast-paced, low-impact workout that leaves you sore and wanting more.

About Our Method

Meet The Founder

Hi there! I’m Izzy, Founder and Head Instructor of The Modern Mat Method.

I started practicing pilates after my breast reduction in late 2024, and fell in love with the changes I felt and saw in my body and confidence. I then decided that I wanted to share my love of Pilates and Mindful Movement with the world, so I became Mat Certified through Classical Pilates Education.

As a Freshman at Florida State, I saw firsthand how building community is key to making the most out of the collegiate experience. I started the Modern Mat Method to share my love of pilates, connection, and movement in my new home of Tallahassee.
